Big News for the New Season!!
South Texas Skaters is opening up the doors again for our adult league, The Regulators! It’s time to rock that blue and yellow and bring your South Texas fighting spirit!
Here’s the details:
Open league, meaning co-ed under the WFTDA bylaws for the 2026 season
This league is connected to and practices alongside juniors. All adult skaters must be background checked and registered to volunteer through JRDA (link here). This registration includes the mandatory free one hour concussion training certification and optional free one hour child safety training, as well as the mandatory background check which has a nominal fee of around $20. If you need assistance with payments, a financial aid form can be completed and the board will assist.
Adult practice is on Mondays from 7pm-8:30pm, at Trader’s Village under the brown pavilion (straight through the gate, left at the petting zoo).
Dues are $40/ month and can be set up for autopay here.
All skaters must have or obtain before the first practice:
FULL derby gear (we currently don’t have any adult size loaners)
Spill-proof water bottle
Completed and returned background check and concussion training emailed to southtexasskater18@gmail.com
Completed Skater Registration so your name is on the entry list at the security gate
The Knockouts’ Madiator to compete with Team USA in Australia
Our very own Madiator!
Our very own Madiator, one of the competitive level 3 junior skaters, worked hard all season to try out for Team USA’s junior derby team. And she made it!
We are more than proud of her work ethic, teamwork skills, and perseverance. She sets an incredible example for the entire organization that if you set your mind to a goal, you can achieve it! You can read more about her journey here and here.
Way to go Madiator! NEVER GIVE UP, NEVER BACK DOWN! Thank you for embodying the spirit of the South Texas Knockouts!
